Outside is nice, and too quiet.
Something's missing.
The sun hits your face the way it does in the summer, but neither nice nor soothing. It's the improvised, off-center throw of someone who realized too late you were standing in their doorway, and wishes very much you don't see what they are doing.
At least it's not raining.
